Floor Sanding

bona-sanderIn the past, sanding wooden floors required protecting sensitive objects from the large quantities of dust produced while sanding and often complete closure of the room to be renovated. The dusty environment created was neither a healthy or pleasant environment requiring time-consuming cleanup before finishes could be applied. Now, using our dust free sanding system, we can benefit from a sanding process where all dust is contained. Healthier and cost reduction.

We will first inspect your floors and advise you of their condition. If required we can fix or restore any problems with the floor to ensure it is properly prepared for sanding. With experience of sanding hundreds of floors, we can sand your timber floor to a perfect finish.

Using our high quality Bona® sanding and dust collection equipment along with our own wood floor sanding process results in a finished floor of unrivalled quality.

Floor Finishing

Finished floor
A wood floor creates a warm, natural and comfortable atmosphere that makes you instantly feel at home.

After sanding you will want to protect and preserve your beatiful floor with multiple coats of a durable water-borne polyeuethane or protective and stain-resistant natural oils. We only use commercial premium quality polyeuethane and oils and apply a minimum of 4 coats.

If you have a native timber floor such as Rimu or Kauri for example, that has been in place for a number of years, it is often possible that individual planks have contracted, leaving gaps where once the boards would have fitted snugly together.

After consulting with you we will fill these side gaps using a variety of suitable technicques to stop dirt and dust collecting in the floor gaps and preserve the beauty of the floor.

Floor Installation

Wooden flooring transforms the look of any room, whether for domestic or commercial use, adding character, style, elegance and warmth.

We offer a range of high quality engineered wood flooring and a complete new wooden floor installation service. We will inspect the area in which the new wooden floor is to be fitted and advise of any preparatory work that needs to be undertaken before installation can begin. This may include checking the moisture level of the sub-flooring, levelling the sub-flooring and making any repairs where necessary.

Once we have ensured that the sub-floor is perfectly prepared we will expertly fit your floor using only the highest quality tools and materials, making appropriate allowance for any expansion or contraction of the wood, and paying careful attention to detail around doors and other room fixtures.

When we’ve completed the fitting we will leave your premises clean and dust free, leaving you to enjoy the natural beauty and durability of your new wooden floor.
